Waterfowl of the Santo Domingo Water Quality Facility
The video above shows how waterfowl are making themselves at home at the Santo Domingo Regional Water Quality Facility, which was designed and constructed in the late 90s. It was built and is maintained on Warwick Township property, which is part of Dean L. Saylor Park (formerly Linear Park). The Santo Domingo Water Quality Facility, a first of its kind in Pennsylvania, demonstrates a regional alternative to traditional onsite stormwater management and provides an ideal habitat for migrating birds. The facility offers the community both passive and active recreational activities, and neighbors from several developments enjoy the open space and wildlife year-round right from their backyards.
