Employee Spotlight: Eric Lyons, RLA
Eric Lyons is a Registered Landscape Architect and Project Manager specializing in sustainable site design and green master planning through the use of native plants, stormwater best management practices, and watershed planning. Eric applies his love of sustainable design to his work with communities and clients. His most recent work includes the landscape design for the recently completed Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center; a Watershed Action Plan for the Marietta Region; a multi-functional buffer design for the Blair County Conservation District; and planting designs for numerous wetland creation and floodplain restoration projects. He is skilled in all levels of design, including concept master plans, computer generated renderings and simulations, technical drawings including stormwater management and site grading design, as well as site inventory and surveying.
Eric is a graduate of Penn State University with a BA in Landscape Architecture and a minor in geography and environmental inquiry. He also spent time studying abroad in Germany and Tanzania. Eric has his LEED Green Associate and sUAS Remote Pilot certification.
Eric lives in Lancaster City with his wife Chelsey, where they enjoy experiencing the good restaurants, cafés, and ice cream shops the City has to offer. They enjoy hiking and traveling, are avid Penn State sports fans and football season ticket-holders. Golfing is Eric’s favorite hobby and he also enjoys DIY projects around the house.
