Sustainable Landscape Technician

Location: Manheim, PA
Position: Full-time (part-time may be considered)
Sign-On Bonus: $500 after your first ~12 weeks

What You’ll Do:

  • Landscaping Duties: Installation and maintenance of trees, shrubs, and perennial plants; seeding in lawn, meadow, and floodplain settings; spreading mulch; topsoil grading; etc.
  • Erosion Control: Installation of erosion control matting, straw mulching, hydroseeding, etc.
  • Natural Area Maintenance: Invasive species control, meadow mowing, brush clearing, etc.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate hand and power equipment such as rake, shovel, string trimmer, blower, and chainsaw is preferred. Operating heavy equipment such as tractors, skid loaders, and excavators may be applicable.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Passion for the Environment: You care deeply about sustainability and want to contribute to a healthier planet.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience in landscaping, horticulture, and/or environmental science is preferred. Small and heavy equipment operation, mechanical skills, and plant identification are a plus. Overall, we value your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
  • Physical Fitness: You’re comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and can regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Team Player: You enjoy working with others and can communicate effectively with team members and clients.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required (experience pulling a trailer is a plus).
  • Must be 18 years or older.
